Nitinol Applications Engineer, Fort Wayne Metals
Jenica Kolhoff

I am 31 years old and was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. I attended Homestead High School graduated in 2007. I received my bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering at Purdue University - West Lafayette in 2011. I started working at Fort Wayne Metals my sophomore year of college as an intern in 2009 and have been with the company ever since in various roles - Materials Analyst, Assistant Laboratory Manager, Nitinol Associate Product Manager and finally Applications Engineer. The majority of my career has focused on Nitinol which is a nickel and titanium alloy that exhibits superelastic and shape memory properties. This alloy is mainly used in medical devices but has expanded to aerospace, automotive, industrial and other applications as well. My role is to work with customers on how Nitinol's unique properties can be used in their specific product. I had my first baby (a boy named Jacob) in January of 2019.
